Why aren't the glasses made of real glass? Real glass has a slightly better transparency, so even clearer vision, but a poor ability to filter the desired colors. For this, PC layers would still have to be made into the glass. This while the glass is more fragile and more expensive. There are almost no factories left that want to work with glass for this application.
